I've got one and it's quite lovely. I've gone through a lot of delays and this one sits in the top 5. Go for it. :banana

It has a nice quiet buffer, too. It's optional and it isn't nearly as noisy as those on Boss pedals.

since the knobs have notches instead of a smooth turn of the dial does it make "space ship noises" as well as the boss or a line6?

Thanks for the link and all the time & effort you put in to review the pedal :)

I'm rocking out with one right now! And it is Killer.

I'm still waiting for the new Malekko though.

I can only speak comparatively with Boss, and with the DL-8, the ramping up or down while self-oscillating makes a 'glitch' noise with each step of the knob. I mean, if you're making noise already, it's actually just a different kind of noise, so is it 'better' or 'worse'? Dunno. Just different and not smooth. It won't self-osc indefinitely either. Sorta limits itself. I can get a DD-6 or 7 to the point where I'm worried about blowing something, but the DL-8 won't do that.

I try ;)

If you just search for 'hardwire', a lot of the older threads are about the delay pedal specifically because that's what got us all aroused in July last year!

I can't seem to turn mine off the modulation setting, but the tape setting is my next favorite. I actually have a DE-7 on my board too, which is not rearly as versitile but still sounds very good-they don't sound alike but both sound good.

I've only ever had a DD3, so this thing is a huge jump in features for me. The reverse is cool but not sure how practical it would be to play it with in the context of a song due to the timing. the modulated using the stereo outs is very cool

Worth the $ to me.

One weird thing, I also have the hardwire valve distortion. I think that both have a true-bypass circuit that is designed to cut in if the power is cut from them. But when I plug the power into the delay the distortion pedal will turn on. doesn't work the other way around.

Eh, I was not thrilled. It does everything, but nothing GREAT - know what I mean?
On the + side, it does most things quite well, is sturdy, reasonably priced, and small.
