harry -scott -sub-speaker[experts] question

    sorry cilp if needed-question: my new Jensens in my Vibrolux are SO
    spikey-the waveform looks sick-either that or im workin out at the gym too much-i cant even use 'em rite now-uck! i dont think ive ever had new speakers-im used to crappy old.

    -will they break in?
    -are they any good?

    is there anyway to break them in fast-????

    should i start smokin again & blow smoke & drink around them?;)

    Hey John,
    Personally, the newer Jensens that I have heard seemed less than where they once were. I remember when you were thinking of getting that speaker, I recommended either one of the really nice new Eminence line or a Weber VST. I suspect either would get you a way nice tone.
    Regarding break in, an old trick is to put the amp face down on a carpet, pillow over the cab (allow air to reach the tubes) Then hook up a radio or other sound source to it. Turn the treble down. Let it play for as long as you can handle it

    Hi Harry-good to hear!--ya I do remember-I may have already bought them too-

    most of the time i dont take the word of musicstore guys-specially it was a new shop...hmmm-its easy to get eminence in the burbs here-i may try 'em.

    i did write down the weber # serial info too !

    thanks for the breke in technique too!

    By the way, I have 2 Weber's in my Vibrolux, 1 alnico and 1 ceramic
    10A125 and 10F125
