I'm looking to buy one soon, and I have a couple questions about it.
How much headroom does it have?
    How is the effects loop?
Which is better, the cleans or the dirt?
    thanks.

I own a Flexi Head and 1x12 Ear Candy Cab. It is a great amp and quite loud. I would imagine that the combo would be the same. I am thinking of selling mine if you are interested? It is in mint condition. I currently play through an Egnater M4 Pre-amp which I love these days. I am afraid as much as I love the Flexi it would be just a dust collector and should find a new home.

It will do a big loud clean with lots of headroom, but only if you like your cleans with some hair and character. It is not a Twin or JC120. I am sure with some tweaking (and possibly tube changes) you could find a nice clean that will keep up with a loud band.

The effects loop works fine for me but I don't use it much because I like the pure sound of the amp. Some devices have problems with it as it is not buffered.

The cleans are nice, but have a very distinctive Flexi flavor. IMO, the amp really shines when you use your guitar to morph between dirty-clean and singing crunch.

There have been a bunch of threads with good advice and great clips if you do a search.

    Here's the product info: http://www.thdelectronics.com/product_page_112_Combo.html

I've never tried the new combo, but own the Flexi-50 head coupled with an Avatar 2x12 with Celestion V30 & G12H30 Anniv. speakers, and absolutely love the rig. Very touch-sensitive. Good clean-to-crunch-to-overdrive with turn of your volume knob. Accepts pedals well (Preferably used through the loop feature). Very sturdy; well hand-crafted. Andy Marshall puts a lot of thought and effort into his products before he offers them to the public. I'd trust that you'd enjoy the amp.

there is NO such thing as a flexi combo.

The new combo cab is made to accomodate any of their heads, Uni, Bi or the Flexi.

I am pretty sure you can buy the combo cab separately or get it paired with one of their heads.

:D A combo's... a combo. Nice you have the option to swap out the guts with a Uni, Bi, or Flexi...all within the confines of a nice THD 1x12 cab. Think Fender would let you swap a Twin, Bassman, Super-Reverb head within a stock speaker cab? I doubt it. THD goes 'one-up' again.

I don't know if the actual amp in that combo is the same as the separarte head version I had. I thought the loop really wasn't all that good tbh. To my ears it really degradated the tone (so) I never used it.
The amp can sound clean of course but there's is no way you'll get enough (clean) clean volume to play in even an averagely loud band. And I've tried a lot of different tube combinations...

First off - Andy Marshall knows what he is doing.
Huge fan of his work, always has been more than good to me.

AT or AU with KT88 or 6550 - I had no problem getting a clean I could use with a band.

The Flexi 50 is the same with a cage, head or combo.
you can move it into any one of them.

If I use the loop - I like to use a mixer in there also with some effects.

I do not use it this way much as to the fact that the best sounds in this amp are poweramp distortion for me.

In a lot of cases poweramp distortion and loop effects are not the way to go for me.

Just got the flexi head with a thd 2x12 and am having a great time with it. I gave up on channel switchers and am using this for dirty/overdrive with a lehle pedal to switch over to my Tone King Meteor for clean tones. It is an extremely transparent amp that really lets the character of the guitar come through. I can go from clean to pretty overdriven just based on picking dynamics. It doesn't sound exactly like a marshall.. kinda has its own thing going on, but it's a good thing. Just dropped a couple JJ KT66's in there - took 10 minutes and they sound great.
