Just wondering if anyone tried one of those, especially the NY SD-9 model. $$ seems reasonable and has its own appeal, IMO.

Nicely made but they don't sound that great to me.

I bought a used EXL-1 a few weeks ago. Awesome guitar. This guitar will turn me into a jazz player yet.

I played the semi hollow model that Kurt Rosenwinkel used for a few years. I loved the guitar, played great, sounded awesome.

I don't know which are the differences between the D'Angelico made in Korea and D'Angelico made by Vestax in Japan. I have one NYSD-9 by Vestax and it is an exceptional guitar, one of the better sounds that I have never heard, very agreeable of playing. Amazing guitar.

kurt uses a sadowsky semi now. For cheaper jazz guitars, I love the eastman line.
