Have any of you sold or bought pedals/gear off Reverb or Ebay from someone famous?

No gear, but have sold herbal medicine to a number of popular musicians.

Gave a reverb pedal to my friend Mike, pretty sure he's gonna be famous someday.

I haven't heard about 80% of the people mentioned in this thread.

Is that a dig at them, saying they must be nobodies if you haven’t heard of them ? Or, does it just show your rather out of touch ? Or is it asking for a primer on guitar culture ?

Never understood what this type of all too common comment is supposed to be saying....

I haven’t heard of any of the top Superbike riders today, but that doesn’t say anything about them, just me, as I haven’t followed the sport in 20 years

Internet is a weird place sometimes...

Sold my gold Gibson Firebird to Steve Earle; and I bought a Music Man 210 amp that was previous James Burton's (which I still have). Both transactions were through a music store intermediary.

Sold some Colombian marching powder to Robin Crosby.
But...
in my defense he had me in a head lock.
So it's not like I had any options, he was a 100 lbs heavier and a foot taller :dude

I bought a huge pink 27 space shock mounted Anvil road case from a producer years ago. He had bought it for shipping a bunch of recording gear to Hawaii to record the RHCP 'Californication". They ended up recording in LA instead, so I scored a great deal on it.

You can see a bit of the pink side peeking out here

I purchased an Aztec Gold Klon Centaur from Micheal Britt (Lonestar Band / Kemper Profiles). It was for a reasonable price of what they were worth then. I actually didn't recognize who it was I was dealing with at the time of the transaction and learned later who it was as I didn't/don't really follow country music or the Kemper space. I still have it and use it.

Edit: I would add that I actually made him an offer on it and he countered and we agreed. He even messaged me to ask which was the best shipper to use for me. Stand up guy, would buy from again. A++!

Doug Aldrich bought my Historic Les Paul R8 - Sam Ash limited run black.
He's playing it on this episode of That Metal Show.
