1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Have you modded your AC30 Custom Classic? If so, do have some sound clips documenting before and after?

Yep, had Lyle Caldwell do his thing to one. Mercury Mags output trannie, Sozo caps, carbon comp resistors. Wired back to early JMI specs and replaced the Warf's with Weber Siler and Blue Alnico's.

I replaced the reverb tank with an Acutronics unit, it still stinks. I just leave it off and use delay on my pedal board.

I like the amp. It doesn't have much clean headroom though. This is a mixed blessing.

no mods for me yet. I'm a total tweaker and I'm almost never satisfied with my tone, but TBH the amp is really doing it great for me. I have the non-blue model so I planned on upgrading the speakers to weber blue/silver combination. I already picked up the silver, but I've still not gotten around to getting a blue - the sound so far is decent for me.
