I've ordered the head with the ef86 option. I'll be running it into a Kingsley 2x12 cab with Alnico Weber Blue Dogs. This cab has a removeable back to run it half open or closed. Unlike some people, I actually like the tones of alnico blues in a closed back cab, but I'll run it both ways depending on mood and situation. As I just put a deposit down last week, I've got a bit of a wait. Woe is me. :( ;)

It ain't easy -- but it's worth it.

However, Rob told me three months, and he finished mine in just over two. I think he's rather conservative, which is good, considering some of the horror stories I've heard on this board.

That being said, more and more people are catching on, thanks to the Internets, and Rob's still making 'em one at a time, so it may take longer now.

I'm actually running my Hayseed head thru a TruTone 4x10 pine cab loaded with 12-year-old Celestion Vintage 10's, and it is STUNNING !!!!

Actually it can take several years to get an amp from him if the reclusive Rob will even agree to build you one. If you call to check on the progress in that time he cancels your order and sends your deposit back..... wait a minute.......I think I might be confusing him with someone else :)

He definitely seems to be doing a great job keeping his head above water given the big increase in popularity the amps have seen in the last several months.

What differences/similarities do the Hayseed share with the AC30? I'm also intrigued by the 22 watter ...I wanted to try a little 6v6 tone, just for a change...but I'm hesitant because I'm not so sure it will keep up with my rhythm section.
Does anyone know roughly what the wait time is currently for an amp from Rob?

    Patch, that's awsome looking! :dude

I love all these different looks of the hayseed. Rob does such great work. He should keep a photo collection of all these that have gone out.

i think rob's hayseeds can be very, very close to an ac30 to more of a hybrid like mine. the original vac amp (6v6) can keep up with a band. the 50 watt version (el34) will take yer head off if necessary.
