+1 - you'll plug it in, look at the $100+ pedal on your board and think WTF did I pay $100+ for that???? It's ridiculous how good it sounds, and not just for the price.

I bought the Overdrive, and love it - have been considering the Distortion as well...for $15, it's a good risk, IMO.

Havent tried the new Dano Fab distortion, but I do have the Dano "Fab Tone" distortion, which may or may not be a different beast. Also have a few other Dano pedals. Sure, most of thier stuff is junk, but it seems like every series of pedals they put out has one jem in the bunch. Love my Fab Tone, sustain for days. The tuna melt (think it is) tremelo mini is awsome. But my favorite is the od-1 Wasabi, very versitle and a ton of features. But again, tried the "Daddy O" and thought it was junk as well as all the other mini pedals. But hey, sometimes it's just fun to find the jem amongst the junk, and for the price of Danos, hard to go wrong.:AOK

    Depends on the day.
I know plenty of people liked the Dan Echo too.

Completely different. IIRC the "Fab Tone" is a DOD Grunge with a couple of part changes. The "FAB" is more like an MXR Distortion+ with a tone control.

You've looked at schematics? More details, please?

    Dano Fab Tone is here:

I don't have an electronic copy of the FAB handy but it doesn't come across as a direct 100% (or even 75%) copy of any circuit I've ever seen, so Dano must be using some obscure marketing angle. Really though if you've got an MXR Distortion+ in your left hand, and a BOSS GE-7 EQ in your right, the sounds of the FAB are all right there. For $15 you can't go wrong. Hell I've spent more than that on bad lunches :)

Im considering the whole series and modding them into 1 case with new switches.
The pedal sounds great with some amps. Im afraid of the construction though. Wait till you open it and see the switch.

I thought about re-housing, but really, if it breaks, I'd just buy a new one :) I'd have to break 5 or more at $15 a pop to make it worthwhile to me!

Actually the slap back echo and EQ are great as well, these are the mini ones. I returned the EQ (should have kept it) but still have Echo, works great and doesn't cost hardly anything.:BEER
