I'm working on my cockney accent. I like to blend in with the locals.
If somebody offers you pudding, it is not jello.
You're more likely to do that with anything but a Cockney accent. The "locals" in London these days are far more likely to be from somewhere else, while a great many of those of us native to London don't live there any more.
Seriously, enjoy your visit and thank you for your tourist dollars.
Awesome city! Congrats and have a great time! Impossible to run out of cool things to do there. The hardest part is finding the time to fit everything in!
One of the nicest times I've had there was the simplest, an evening walk along the Thames with my wife. Started at Westminster Bridge and walked up Tower Bridge, just talking and taking lots of great photos along the way with no other care in the world during that time.
Especially if it's Bill Cosby.

Oversexed, overpaid, and over here.
Two good laughs, one good line. You are getting mileage out of that one. Way to go SteveO.
The voices in my head provide the lines, I just type 'em out.
I've got one....
Actually, this is my 5th trip to London in the last 5 years. I have many friends living in the city - I stayed in Hackney two years ago. I really like the place.
Been there twice, once for the 2012 summer Olympics, and the other was just a visit in Nov. of 2013, which included a side trip to York. We have some friends that live there, so it makes visiting a bit easier.
Go see a proper football match!
