I have a stereo 1/4" TRS female source for headphones (i.e., any old headphone jack) and I have that source playing some music on both the left & right channels.

There's also a click track for my drummer, but it's ONLY playing on the right channel (this is by design). I want to get that right channel to BOTH of my drummers headphone's ears.

Quesion: when you use a 1/4" TRS to 1/4" TS adapter, which channel goes to the headphones (I assume the "tip" channel carries through and the "ring" channel is just lifted and left open)? Is the "tip" left or right? How about the "ring"? I'm assuming the "sleeve" is shield/ground in both TRS and TS cases.

And when it goes to the headphones, i.e., if you plug a headphone into a 1/4" TS mono jack, will the sound go to both ears?

    Thanks.
