    I think my new login should be "ole_deaf_ears". This clip was recorded using 2 different guitars. Can you hear the difference??
    Nothing was changed on the amp. Just switched instruments.

    Too close for these old ears as well. The second clip may have been a hair smoother than the first, but I could also be imagining things.

    Nice jazzin', BTW.:)

    I agree, Norm. The second clip is smoother. That's my favorite as well. :)

    Me too! I liked clip 2. Seemed there may have been some clipping as well?

    Nice clean tones btw.

    For jazz, I liked the second guitar sound a bit better.
    Did the first one have a maple neck?

    Not sure what I'm supposed to be comparing it to, but I like what I'm hearing here! Great tone, smooth playing.

    Alright, I may expose my ear as utterly incompetent, but here goes nuthin':
    the first is some big hollow body, a howard roberts model gibson or epiphone 335 perhaps, and the second is a maple neck mccarty prs with p90s, played on the neck pickup.
    :rolleyes: :dude

    You guys must have some "ears"....
    The first guitar clip is an 1981 Ibanez AS200 w/ebony fretboard;
    the second is a Peavey JF1EX, w/rosewood, I think.

    Ok, I'll keep the JF1, Greg. :D

    By the way, you should post some more clips.

    Thanks Gregory! There are many other clips at my web site, but I don't think any of them qualify as jazz..... :(
