Right this is a real long shot!
Some time between 1989 and 1991 I was lent a a homemade compilation tape ( in London UK) and on it I remember a very good, tight stonking version of "Burning Love" made famous earlier by Elvis, I have never been able to find out who it was by! I have tracked down a few versions but they weren't the right one it's definately not "the Embarrasment"
It was fairly rocky or punky as I remember, it had gritty crunchy guitars with attitude.
Every now and then I scoure the internet for clues and run dry, it drives me mad so I give up for a couple of years until it resurfaces in my head to haunt me!
It's a real shame because from what I remember it was really good, but I was 17 at the time so I guess I may be looking back with rose tinted glasses, it's all part of my regression therapy trying to find things from years past!
Anyone got any ideas????
hears hoping
