I've had my Helix for about a year and a half, and have always wished I could get a Fender 58 Tweed Deluxe model. It's finally here, and it sounds great! So happy with it I ordered a PowerCab 112+

Where did you get the Dr. Z IRs from? I've been looking for a good Z IR for a while, and it sounds like what you got has a glowing recommendation!

    I purchased the 3Sigma Dr. Z 2x12 IR. It's awesome.

I've been using Acoustica Mixcraft since 2012, and I really like it. Super easy to use, and with version 8 they added every function I need, including side chaining and full VST3 support. The Pro Studio version goes on sale a lot for $75, well worth it. When I started, I was going back and forth between it and Reaper as they seemed to be the best candidates for what I do other than going all out for Pro Tools, and I always found myself going back to Mixcraft, so that's become my tool of choice. I haven't had any issues using Native with it, though I haven't really used it with 1.81 yet. Nor have I found the reason to "upgrade" to Pro Tools yet.

Are you playing with bare feet?

Works fine with Reaper (FREE unlimited trial), though you should eventually spend the $60 for a license.
Works fine with the FREE intro version of Ableton, Live 10 lite. though lite has a track and send limitation, it's otherwise fully functional.
Although I don't recommend it for other reasons, it also works fine with Cakewalk by Bandlab (FREE).
You can also use it with VST hosts such as Cantabile. The lite version is FREE.

shoes, only a problem when the footswitch is assigned as 'momentary' and held down for 5 seconds or more.
It would suddenly flip its momentary function to hold down to switch off.

Is this a bug? Why would capacitive touch function affect how the momentary switch function works?

Finally had the opportunity to install the 2.81 update.

    The good:
    * Can confirm the SPDIF input issue has been resolved.
    * love the new amps and effects

    The bad:
    * The command center is giving me headaches as I do a lot of things with it: All midi channel numbers and CC numbers of all my patches have been reset to 0 in the snapshots. So it is correct on recalling the patch, but when going through my snapshots they no longer work. I seem to recall this has been noticed by other users as well and is on the list to be fixed for firmware 2.82. Is this correct?
    * When adding a CC to be changed by snapshots the cc number and value needs to be set on every snapshot. This was not the case on 2.71, which would remember the first setting on all the other snapshots.
    * I tried to ix the first issue, but I am getting more and more frustrated, because making cc changes takes ten times longer, because of this last issue.

Which bug fixes are on the list for firmware 2.82?

EDIT: Actually fixed the first issue by doing a button 7+8 reset and restoring my setlists. Apart from one patch being corrupt, I now have all my MIDI channels and CC numbers back.

But I like the Helix to send CC#69 messages back to my footcontroller. To set this up in the command center is a lot harder than on previous firmware. I will put in a ticket with Line6...

I have developed my own footcontroller, called the V-Controller. Made a couple of video's about it:

    Beyond amazing!
Gp 10's greatest flaw is not having standard midi ports.
Thats is a work of art!

Agreed. If that's not enough to impress a bunch of tech nerd gearheads I don't know what is.

Know anything about polyphonic pitch shifting?

Thanks. I know my way around midi and sysex, but polyphonic pitch shifting is a whole different ballgame.

Am I the only one waiting for 2.82 before making the leap from 2.71?

Once you move to 2.8x, any subsequent bug fix release will go very quickly, like longer to hook it up to your computer and download than to actually update the unit.
