    @Watt McCo

    Let me see if I got the points. :D

    A more limited universe of routing/signal path options likely fits the needs of the majority of the marketplace.

    Maintaining flexibility ala the Fractal/Helix approach makes it harder, sometimes impossible, to simplify certain things as a result.

    Makes sense - it's all just design choices.

    Look at the Boss Katana interface...for some it's nirvana, for others it's oversimplified to the point where many things are unusable.

    That's the first and obvious observation. What I'm curious about exploring are ways that simplifying or fixing certain things that folks in this forum have traditional thought are "better" when they are flexible might lead to an overall opportunity for increasing overall power/flexibility beyond just the obvious "oh, well, yeah, simplify the signal path its going to make it easier to use". Is there an alternative non-obvious way to get to "more" basically.

    But I'm also fine to talk alone to myself while other people talk about how glad they've put me on their ignore list :D

    Spring might mean the last day of spring which is 20th June (astronomical).

    But it might slip if issues are found in beta testing.

    It will ship when it’s ready and don’t hold your breath, last year it slipped a day every time someone asked when :dunno

    If youre not the type of guitarist that needs 100% of helix DSP (wich is alot....) you could have two guitars and vocals and controll everything...

    Am i wrong :)

    I actually do max out my Helix from time to time, depending on the preset. What I was hoping for (and what I think @phil_m was jokingly referencing) is the remote ability to make the other guitarist in my band turn his sh!t down. Short of getting him to run through my rig (not going to happen) that’s unobtanium. :D

    L6 says "spring," presumably in the Northern Hemisphere. That gives them until June 21st.

    It's tough to wait, but in fairness, it's a pretty big update. I am extremely excited for the KOT and Zendrive, as well as some of the new amp models. I believe there was a SanAmp Bass pedal to, so that may be an underrated addition for some DI bass tones. I think making patch sharing universal between their different platforms is a big task and I imagine them wanting to get it just right.

    I think the amp selection in Helix is insane - people starting on Helix with the HX Stomp are already loaded with a near endless wealth of options there. On the effects side, I think the delay and reverb options are awesome (and one of my favorite things about moving to a modeling platform versus tangled webs of pedals). On the dirt pedal side of things, they do have a lot of the classics (Klon, TS, RAT) and they are done well, but I think there's room to expand there. I'm a bit spoiled because I used the Hotone XTOMP prior to this, and the library there includes dozens of classic and boutique drives. They aren't always accurate to the original, but many of them are still quite good. Actually, I've been meaning to try XTOMP into the front end of a HX Stomp as a very modular solution, but the new drives in 2.8 should be a huge step forward. It's not just that you get the pedals themselves, but they interact uniquely with all the different amp models, so adding drive options increases your tonal options exponentially.

    I’m over 2.8 already, unless it fixes my jiggly lines in the strobe tuner.......Where’s 3.0?

    These work well at getting him to turn down, no fancy remote required.
