I keep telling myself that I'm just going to stop looking for the update and be patient...then I look again.

So, when 2.8 hits do we keep talking about it in this thread or do we all move back to the regular Helix conversation? My hope is we can just go to the main thread and never mention this one again. 70 pages for firmware update that hasn't hit yet?

Are you saying this thread is like a registry for people who need to get a life? :)

Helix 3.0? thread will be opened as soon as 2.8 arrives and all conversations will be moved there

Afraid not. DI said they have 2.9 planned before that. :D

My guess is that's when they drop the other Revv Generator 120 channels. Make a clean slate before 3.0 arrives.

Digital Igloo dropped us a bone revealing what will be in next 2.8
Now we are drooling and we will drool for 2.9 and 3.0.
Hope he will keep the "projects" secret.

Doubtful, at least when it comes to firmware. My guess is 2.9 and 3.0 will take us to the next Winter NAMM if not beyond. They'll likely announce the next big firmware as they have for the past few years, then this entire cycle will begin again.

Fortunately, they keep all of the non-firmware projects a tight secret so we can be very pleasantly surprised the next time something like a Helix Native or HX Stomp drops.

Traditionally, it'll drop, a few people will post that it drops, a few people will post about downloading it, a couple short reviews, a few video demos maybe some SoundCloud clips, and then radio silence

That’s why I love being a sales engineer! All the cool toys, at home, go out to customers and show off the great tech and get them to love it.
It’s actually easy when you love your product, you just have to be able to deep dive with techies, and speak in layman’s terms for the ones who aren’t techy.
Bonus is my region is very condensed so 95% of my travel is driving rather than flying :)

I dont know. For Frank to say 2019 will be a big year for Helix and to get one firmware update is pretty weak. I would expect 2.9 to be released before the end of 2019.

Luckily, another Helix update isn't going to make a hill of beans to my skill level.

Wish I could have a team of people improving my ability to play guitar.

Please for the love of god can we start a new helix thread?

Paging through that thread is a nightmare of biblical proportions. limiting the size would make it a lot easier to read and keep up with.

    Helix V1 - 20 pages. Helix V2 - 20 pages. etc.

Its better that they take the time to get 2.8 right, rather than 737 MAX it by tossing it over a wall in order to meet a deadline.

Dunno how you're navigating but clicking on the thread title always takes me to the first unread post (assuming I haven't marked it as read).
