Third week of the fourth Spring month...
On a tuesday
One quarter less than two thirds better than not half bad.
Line6 addicts of the world, unite!
My laundry list includes: POD HD500X (x2), Helix LT, Helix Stomp, Helix FX, PowerCab Plus, DT-25, Variax Standard, Variax JTV-69S, Variax JTV-58, and Native. One of the bands I play in is also about to plunk down for Helix Floors for both me and our other guitarist.
So this is it the last week of spring. It’s either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. So I am betting none of these days, gonna miss spring release.
Dont worry guys, usually line 6 puts the updates the days that i start sailing. Guess what, wednesday i start my new contract of employment, so due to my luck, i guess thursday we (you actually, for me after 7-8 months) will have the update.
Bring a laptop, stomp, headphones, and a guitar? No wi-fi out there?
7-8 months sounds long without any guitar playing
FBV Express MkII
DT50 112 (2)
Pod hd for sound card check
Guitar will be bought in next port of call.
Wifi is overpriced onboard. 8 megabites (mb) 24 euros. Guess to download the native's latest version, will be similar to buy it anew. Lol
I can quit any time I want
Last 4 major updates
3 were on a Wednesday 1 on a Monday
Yes that is correct I have nothing better to do
Important work here and your analysis goes a long way to providing solace in these tumultuous times.
Hmm... what to do... should I keep checking in on this thread all day until 2.8 drops or should I play my guitar...
Such a quandary
Of course you can!
One more for the road?
Future updates will allow you to map your Helix hot key to F5 so you can refresh the thread while playing.
Did they ever say it was spring 2019?
Maybe it’s spring 2020.
Maybe that’s why 2019 will be a great year as we don’t have to update our Helix.
I’m thinking maybe it’s fake news................lol
I’m wondering if most people here are aware how software development works. It’s very hard to predict release dates. Only way (besides leaving stuff out) is just padding the hell out of that release date but that’s also not optimal. You are always gonna run into unexpected difficulties. I know software is very abstract for a lot of people. But consider writing and recording an album: would you be able to correctly set a release date before the writing starts? Most of the time it’s after recording that that happens. In this case, it’s not even the end of spring yet so put down the torches!
Personally I consider all updates a bonus. If they happen to make the expected release date, that’s a big feat - definitely not something that I feel entitled to nor something I am expecting.
