Best to put the pedal early on in the chain?
Yes! Helps retain the touch sensitivity!
Cool. Thanks man. Anything else I should look out for. I just got it today and can't wait to get home and try it out. I've been wanting one for a good long time.
Just one thing. Be ready for a sonic joygasm!!
Yummy! I'll be sure to keep a towel handy!
Do you have a Timmy? If so - stack the HB in front of it set as a treble booster.
Can somebody remind me again why I sold my HB? DOH!
I wanna know what the hell happened to that "new" Hellbilly that was supposed to be coming out!!!
Mr McBroom retired, so there may be no more "new" hellbillys
CB, congrats on the new pedal and hope you enjoy. if it's not your flavor, I know a local guy that's interested in buying it
From what I understood he was venturing from pedalworx but may be coming out with some stuff of his own. I am not sure though.
I've got a Donnerbox HB.
Here's the secret (for me): ya gotta max the Piggie knob (It's the "level" knob I think - but it's not just level, it "does" something else as well).
Yeah I remember keepin it pretty high too. I didnt max it though.
This pedal is the sh*#!! There are a ton of tones in this thing. I put it in front of an Eternity and a Klon. It goes from a gentle shove to pushing the whole chain over the edge. Love it! muahhahah!!
Hey CBeep! At it again, I presume!!! Pedals are all in order, Trailer Trash here they come!!!
Damn boy, you,ve been promising that magical board for years now! Do it so we can all prostrate ourselves before it.
Patience is a virtue young grasshopper!!! Rooster is 2-3 months backlogged so I am hoping by mid-fall..prepare to bow down before the TT G-d of boards!!!
Bow I shall if it deems itself worthy Muahahaha!!!
I never could max the level, it was too darn loud!
Great pedal, and works well with others, including Tonefactor's new Huckleberry.
I keep my HellBilly fairly late in my chain, but I don't always have other pedals on too. It does sound fantastic with my JangleBox compressor in front, and/or my Fulltone Clyde wah.
I don't use it for a lot of full-out distortion or fuzz very often. I keep the Tone and Gain knobs at 1:00 most of the time, occasionally bumping up the Gain to 3:00-4:00. To me, the HellBilly sounds best when it's just on the edge of going wild!
The "piggy" knob is a Bias control. I used to like it at 1:00, but yesterday I turned it up some more, like 3:00, and I like this setting better. It made the signal stronger without adding more distortion.
