Hello to everybody at The Gear Page!!

I suppose I'm one of the older members at 46 years old.

I've been playing since the late seventies. Though I stopped for some 20 years. I picked up the guitar again about 5 years ago when I purchased a guitar for my son. I fell in love again with the guitar now that I'm an old er I have more money. So I've made the following purchases.

    A 2003 Les Paul 59 RI R9. I also have a pair of original 59 PAF's I'd like to put into it.

A ruokangas Duke, one of the finest guitars I've ever owned.

A New Orleans Voodoo. Love it!!

    And a McNaught single cut.

I've also been playing with some cool amps:

A Cornford hellcat 15 (I've had power scaling installed)

    A Victoria 35310

Though I like the hellcat I've decided to replace it with a Stephenson 30 watt and I've ordered a Louis Electric LE M45.

I think this site is a wonderful resource and a great place to get input from people from all walks of life and musical style.

    Hey Stormcat, welcome aboard.

With 46 you are certainly not even close to being the oldest member here.....

Marco, Grazie, mi fa piacere che ci sono gli italiani sul tgp. Ma come se può sentire non sono italiano. Sono un americano trapiantato a Firenze gia 12 anni.

Bravo acquisto, spero che tu piace il tuo hamer.

Ok..I should have understood it by your guitar collection:no one here has such a guitar-o-rama!
But..I think I'm quite accustomed to Italy-moved Americans: my girlfriend is Canadian!
There's quite a strong American "connection" in Florence, if you want, you can Pm or e-mail me your name, maybe we have common friends and we just don't know!

    Nice fiddles!

I LOVE Florence and Tuscany. I was there last fall. Beautiful! I'll probably go there this year again.

I haven't ever been to Italy, but I would love to get up north sometime to watch the Giro.

    Great having you aboard!

Greetings from an Italian-American from CT. I'd address you in Italian, but I can read it much better than speak.

How do you like Florence? I've been toying with the idea of going to Italy to get a masters degree, or to get formal training in the language for a few months. I'm graduating with a degree in electrical engineering, but am finding the jobs few and far between here in CT, and very little job security, so I've been thinking about branching out into another field somehow.
