Hi my name is Islam Abou El Ata, i am a hobbyist luthier and guitar player, i also like to mess around with electronics and computers.
I practice recording as a hobby not a profession, my gear set is quite humble, this is all i have:
    - Two DIY guitars + one applause and one kramer.
    - A Mig-100 Sovtek guitar amp head (all tube / 100W / 3* 12AX7 + 4*6L6).
    - One G12H-100 Celestion speaker + one no name cheap one (will be modded soon).
    - One JVC small diaphragme condenser microphone.
    - One Philipse dynamic microphone (broken now).
    - One Elem 12 tracks mixing desk.
    - One computer running the FreeBSD operating system (actually Linux is better for audio than BSD, i will migrate soon).

I loved this place from the forst sight, when i came i was looking for technical amp information but when i seen the other parts of the forum, i liked the whole and then i am here to stay, ..., if i am welcome ^^.

One of the most beautiful counties I have ever visited. I was there just before the 9/11 incident and people were very welcoming. I would be interested to see if that has changed. Someday I hope to return.

Oh, and the "local products" were nothing short of amazing!

    Welcome to TGP!

    مرحبا الإسلام!

lol I think I got that right. I'm still learning and the typing programs are weird. Islam, you own one of my favorite pieces of gear. I used a Sovtek Mig 100 on my last full lenght studio album, it's awesome! Welcome to The Gear Page :)

Thank you guys, 1Kidc, i am glad you liked my country, it is beautifull but it still has to develop a lot, if you ever come back to here we'll play some tunes ;) you're welcome.
Tomas, this amp is incredible, it is actually a clone of the JCM800 2203 but with 6L6's instead of EL84, i found some people have modded their marshalls to receive 6L6's :D then i felt luuucky to have them factory installed.
It is really hard to find such a piece of gear in morocco, and i bought it a month ago from an ignorant trader at the equivalent of 120$, now maybe i own the best amp in the whole city of Rabat. ooh i have just seen the welcome message in arabic :D do you speak arabic? yes marhaban is perfectly written but you need to add "ya" after it to adress a person, and take away "al", what you typed is "marahaban al islam" you should write "marhaban ya islam" :)

:) Yeah I speak a bit and I'm trying really hard to learn, especially now that it's Ramadan and I'm trying to convert. Thanks for the correction and I hope you enjoy your time posting here!

Thank you very much, you should go to an arab country to feel the spirit of ramadan, here we drink harira everyday (traditionnal moroccan soup). .. lots of special stuff :)
    Happy Ramadan.
