    Hi all,

I was a drummer that has a guitar playing brother. I have been involved in music and electronics for almost my entire life. I was an engineer in audio and wireless communications. I have been talking about building some amps and effects for a long time. After my last stint at a wireless telecom company, I had enough of it, it was time.

I have designed and built 3 beta test overdrive units. I will be building a two more beta's next week, and then the first production run. The response I have been getting from the players is quite positive. I think you folks will be hearing more about my pedals here.

Thanks, and I have been enjoying the reading in the forums.

Welcome Marc. I grew up in Nyack, great town. I think my initials are still on the sidewalk at South Broadway & Cedar Hill.

    Hi all, that's my brother!

He's been talking about building a guitar pedal for a long time and he has some interesting ideas to make his different from the rest, but I won't spill the beans. :)

He sent me a beta prototype of his first design this week. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I mean, he's a drummer after all...

I plugged it in next to my 3 knob mosferatu just to have something to compare it to (I need to put it side by side with my Timmy next). I was really surprised and happy that Marc's pedal sounded just killer. In comparison, the Mosferatu sounded loke someone through a blanket over my amp. The Mos has more gain on tap, but it didn't have the clarity, balls and fullness of my brother's pedal.

I was so impressed that I'm going to leave my current gigging rig (a SpiderValve - don't laugh, it works great for my cover band) and break out the big rig pedalboard and either an old Fender, Marshall or Bogner Shiva Saturday night (I almost wish my gig tonight wasn't acoustic, but I have an Ibanez Montage to test out). I need to hear how this thing works in a band context. Can't wait!

Once I get my hands on a production version, I'll send it to Andy Most for demo clips. Then I'll know what a good player can do with it....

    Hi Dave,

No I have not been to the turning point in a long time (I don't get out much). I suppose that I should get out more with one of my pedals in hand. There are many good players here in town that should check it out and deliver feedback to me. Thanks for the hello!

I took it over to Eric Thomas today (a local TGPer) and he tried it with his PRS SCT235 (did I get that right?) into his blackface Princeton Reverb. Sounded great!
