Help! Can a guitar head be used for bass thru a bass cab?

My son has an Orange AD30 tube guitar amp and has purchased a BASS Cab with 8x10s 16ohm
Can he play his bass guitar thru this combo with any problems?
He says he likes the sound he gets out of it but im afraid he might be damaging his orange head

it's totally fine, no way he's going to hurt anything.

might not sound great to me, but if it works for him, go to town.

Those old Super Lead plexi type amps were used for both back in the day.

right. it's guitar speakers that can get cooked with too much bass.

16 ohms is odd for an 8x10 cabinet. they're usually 4 ohms.

I ran a Marshall head into a Hartke bass cab for a while, sounded pretty good.
