Help! Clicks & pops when engaging pedals

I'm almost finished setting up my rig - or so I thought. Now that my cables are done, I'm getting very loud popping sounds when I engage true bypass pedals that were switching silently before. Zendrive 2, Wampler Ego comp, etc.

All pedals are powered from a Pedal Power 2 (not plus), and cables are Lava mini ELC. I'm also getting a mean hum when I connect a Midi Mouse to the rig, but that may be a separate issue.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I think that TB pedals sometimes needs to be switched on and of a few times to get rid of somekind of electric charge stored in the switch (and with this post I have completely revealed my lack of theorethical knowleadge on the subject...).

Jack is right - something is leaking DC voltage into the signal. It can be the amp's input, or one of the other pedals. Static buildup in TB pedals is a different thing, and will usually fix itself after a click or two. But if it's constant, and the clicks are very loud, a DC leak is more probable.

Of the pedal that pops, turn the first one on. Does the others still pop? If not, something before the first TB pedal is leaking DC. If they still pop, something after the TB pedals is leaking. Turn the last of the TB pedals on instead, and try the ones before it. If they no longer pop, it's definitely something later in the chain that leaks.

Use your old cables and test the pedals, one-by-one. See if they are popping, and if so, which one is the main culprit.

If no pops, then maybe there is loose connection on one of your new cables.
