I want something with a little more gain than my Xotic BB.. but similar tone wise.

Which of the Catlinbread would fit this part better?.. the SCOD or the DLS?

I like the warm, smooth, more compressed sounding drives.

thanks!

I have DLS and SCOD and played the BB.
IMO none of them is what you're looking for :dunno

Lots and lots of threads on both. On comparisons, too, I believe.

In a nutshell: SCOD=grrrrrr (but also a bit versatile, too). DLS=Marshally sweetness that can get a bit gainier, if you like. Definitely needs 18Volts. Didn't keep it as I thought of its tone as a bit too "dry". My old "sardine box" SCOD is still here, and I use it for leads, or when playing at home on a Kyuss track.

The Xotic BB and DLS are definitely in the Marshall camp. The SCOD is like a cranked Orange and behind the Skreddy Zero (not alike at all...I know), is one of the hardest hitting pedals I have played.

The Zim I am sending ya will be perfect for those warm and smooth drive sounds!

yeah I cant wait to try the Zim. I saw GearManDude demo it on youtube & thought it sounded really good.

So far I havent found any drive that I like better than my KittyHawk quattro though.. you guys might like to check out the demo video I posted on youtube.. its probably the only KittyHawk demo on there at all
