Swapped the pickups among these guitars, and I do think this matchup sounds better. But long story short, the creme covers don't fit the other pickups, so they had to stay black, and not sure I like the way this looks. Especially the black pickups against the off-white guard. Maybe if I swap just the knobs back, so that its the creme knobs with the off-white guard?

    Way say you, TGP?

I like the cream p'ups against the black guard. IMHO, the black looks ok with the white guard, but lots of folks like that look. I do like the look of the matching knobs.
Ultimately it's your call, but there's not a thing wrong with either looks.

The guitars look ok, though my personal tastes differ. With the aged white pickguard, I'd use the same color pickup covers and knobs. With the black pickguard, I'd use pickup covers and knobs that were a little lighter than the cream you're using; maybe aged white instead.

Knob and pickup covers are cheap. But the one you want.

Thanks for the comments! But covers are hard to come by for 7-string single coils. The black pickups are larger than the covers I can find. And you can't buy off-white or creme ones. I had to stain a set of white ones. But point taken, I could at least do another set that comes out lighter.

Yes, this is what I need to hear! But the honest feedback is nice too.

I think the Agile looks spot on.
On the black one, I would just go all out on the black plastics. (switch tip, Trem arm tip). I probably would not have used the MXR style knobs as compared to regular strat skirted or even a fender amp style skirt knob.

Love the top one. Not so much the bottom one. I'd go white pickup covers and knobs etc.

I think they both look awesome except for the amp type knobs. I'd put regular black strat knobs.

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, I bought that one used but spent more than I would have on a brand new one. The bookmatched body seemed worth it.

I had no idea that those knobs would be so unpopular! I've never liked black Strat knobs for some reasons. The amp knobs is a cool idea.

The black one is growing on me. It'd be easier to black-out the pickguard than change those pickups to white, given that they need a larger-than-typical cover.
