I can't seem to find accurate serial number info on Crybaby's online. I used this pedal live between the years 1992-1996, and recently came across it again. I can't for the life of me remember if I got it new or used. Thank you TGP for your help.

Thanks for the info. Which leads me to my next question. What are the good mods for this model, and what exactly IS that 1/8" adapter jack? For power?

Yup, power. Not sure if it's worth modding or getting a new one. That pot must be getting old by now, surprised it hasn't been replaced yet.

Maybe of your questions will be answered here.

Yeah it's that same one that many older EH and DOD have.
It's just a different less common input as opposed to the more common boss style (which all dunlop crybabys are now made with). Both are 9v.

Does the pot need to be replaced from use or time. Because this pedal has been sitting in a box in a closet since about 1996.

A good mod is a true bypass switch.

No, it isnt this plug. It's a 1/8" plug, not barrel type.

Sorry that my post confused you. Read the quote below.
I was showing it as a comparison.

Heres a crybaby with the more common boss style barrel plug

If he wanted to avoid using batteries, he would need this if he's using a 1spot type set up. This style of wall wart is also hard to come across. But a battery is never a bad idea for a wah like this considering how low the mA rating is.

Do the true bypass mod- it's a must for this version of Crybaby because it does not have a input buffer and with this stock SPDT bypass switch it sucks A LOT of treble when bypassed.

If you have a PP2 you should be all set. I didn't think you would :) I guess that qualifies as a 1spot type but the 1spot is more of the kleenex of pwr supplies.
Report back on how it sounds..
And you have a Richie's Tele! Love that guy.
