I have been looking desperately to find a copy of the book "The Songwriting Secrets of the " Beatles "by Dominic Pedler

No luck anywhere & it appears to have been out of print for years

    Any suggestions?

3 years of searching...and I just placed the order

This is why I LOVE this website!!!

    Thanks!

FYI...get this book, I borrowed it from a friend. It provides tremendous insight into the Beatles songwriting style

These guidelines will dramatically improve your own compositions

    Have you seen this site?:

should make a good companion to the book.

Another great book on the Beatles songs (their recording more than the actual writing, but good insights into how they work) is this one:

Great songwriting book. Not only The Beatles but goes into depth on their influences. I waited years for it to be published. Originally inspired by articles in Total Guitar, September 1999 and November 2001. I still have these articles, they are excellent also.

As well as using the Beatles recordings while working through this book I use these extremely well sequenced midis. This allows me to loop sections and turn instruments and melodies on and off. Again these are very accurate midis. Helps to have a good sequencer and sound card or software sounds.

I searched all the above and they were out. One said they had it then wrote to say they didn't. I would love to get this book any more ideas? This book appears to be what I have been looking for for years.
I tried Yahoo Pre-Order where they will send it to you IF they get a copy but that may or may not happen.

+1000. This is an ESSENTIAL read for dissecting Beatles Tunes.

Here's another one. "The harmonic language of the Beatles":

    Downloadable PDF version of above:

Honestly between these two resources I don't know why you'd need to pay for a book about Beatles songwriting secrets.

I know this is an old thread, but for those interested I noticed Amazon.co.uk has the book listed as in stock again.
So does the publishers website, Omnibus Press.
