Help id/date an old kay guitar?

If it's the one pictured in your avatar it looks very much like a model 5160. They were produced from around 1959 to about 1968. The "K" logo pickguard would put it somewhere between 1965 and 1968-- probably towards the end of the run, as the earlier models in that timeframe often had a double circle rosette around the soundhole, and the late-50's and early 60's models had a more triangular-shaped pickguard than the one in your avatar.

The original Kay/Valco Company in Chicago ceased operations around 1968-1969. That's about as much as I can tell you without larger pictures-- if it has a maple fingerboard it is probably a model 1160.
