What kind of guitar is Chris Cornell playing in this picture? Looks kind of like a Les Paul/Gretsch hybrid with a Bigsby-ish tremolo system!

Lots of Duesenberg threads here you can look up in the archives.

They're controversial guitars. Lots of people like them. Some don't. The company is based in California, but the story goes that the parts are made in Korea and the guitars are assembled in Germany. The company president and their salespeople are very defensive when people ask them where the guitars are actually made. I experienced this myself when the president of the company and I exchanged emails a while back. I challenged him to tell the truth. I don't believe he did. He insisted they were of 100% German origin. I think he's lying through his teeth.

I agree that their company is quite defensive about their story. I do have a Starplayer tv that is my go to ax since my ulnar nerve surgeries. So easy to play and a tone all its own. BTW DrumBob, Leslie West, Paul Kossoff, John Cipollina!! Yes, yes and yes!
