Help me eliminate 1 pedal (chorus, univibe, or tremelo)

Hey guys so my board is full and I can't fit all three.

Pedals are:
Analogman Mini Chorus
FullTone DejaVibe
FullTone Supa Trem

Ocassionally I like to play witha straight chorus with no occolation. And I am loving the Tremelo. After a quick test It seemed to me that the Chorus Pedal + The Tremelo created a similar tone and effect as the Univibe.

So my guess is to ditch the Univibe.

Any thoughts?

My vote is the Univibe. Whenever I hear it, I think hendrixy stuff, which sort of overshadows whatever is actually being played.

I'm not a chorus fan so that would've been the one to go if it were me, but it sounds like you've already got a solution figured that works for you :)

I never have any use for a tremolo but I also found out a wasn't a vibe guy. Now i got phasers and choruses and flangers and they can handle any job fine.

the fulltone and the analogman cover a lot of the same ground... kick the fulltone just cause its got a larger footprint.

I have a chorus and a phase and trem on the amp. I rotate them according to my moods. I only need one swirly pedal at a time, and the concept of "havin' stuff on my board" is all dependant on what sounds I want to hear, and what kinda music I want to do with it.

I play in different bands, so I need a versatile pedalboard, but with a minimum of stompers. I have a few pedals that remain fix : wah, tuner, OD, comp, delay, and a few ones that I can easily swap : chorus, trem, filter, so I can adapt to any situation.
My advice : keep them three but put only one on the board, make a rotation, you will soon discover which pedal you can't live without !

+1

I really like the sound of the univibe, but I don't find any real usefulness for it except trying to sound like Hendrix, Pink Floyd or Trowers.

I would boot the chorus as I prefer the Univibe type sound over it most of the time. And unlike "soopajeanmi" I find it capable of far more tones and textures than just "Hendrix,Floyd,&Trower" in it and can quite easily sound like myself. But thats me.

I LOVE VIBES....I would kick the tremolo, but since the other pedals don't do anything remotely like tremolo, I would ditch the chorus! I too favor the "chorus" of vibe than a chorus pedal!

I'd go for the chorus
I have a phaser a "univibe" and a chorus that I use only one at a time on my board.
The chorus with a delay pedal is great for swells and I can easily get a Lesley type sound or polished 80's
Lots of sound in one pedal.
The phaser ph-r 1 is cool but the chorus winns mostly.

I hate chorus and rarely use trem, so for me, I'd ditch those 2 and just keep the Deja Vibe. Nothing nails a vibe sound like a Univibe clone.

Base your board on what you are playing the majority of the time, or what two out of three see the most specific use. If the trem is used only for a full song then move it to the amp, -or do the same with any of them. The ones at your feet are there for foot control when needed. If that is not neccesarry then they can go on top of the amp.

Here is my rig, fwiw...before trying to add the Univibe and Supa Trem. None of these pedals are essential to me or anything but I enjoy using them to color my jams and such.

Thanks again. I'm in between ditching the Chorus and Univibe, It's gunna take some board re-arangment and some further testing...fortunately thats the fun part!

I would ditch the chorus if I had to. I have all 3 on my board. I always want to ditch my chorus. I enjoy using my deja vibe instead. BUT, I still use my chorus every so often and since I have room I just keep it.
