I have spent the last few years going through all kinds of amps.

I have narrowed down my needs finally but haven't found what i'm looking for. I like to play blues, jazz, and classic rock.
I tend to like smoother overdrive as opposed to harsh in your face stuff.

    Needs include:

    Warm fendery clean channel
    Smooth OD channel
    buffered fx loop
warmth at bedroom volume and club volume (50w?)
takes to single coils and humbuckers equally well.
something that's replaceable if stolen (not a one-off or custom)
Somewhere in the $1000 used market.

Had a few super reverbs, ceriatone HRM, Mesa Stiletto II, Hinson Clean Dumble, AC30.

All were close but missed the mark on one or another aspect. Am I crazy for thinking i'll get all of this in a package for less than $3k (two rock, carol ann, fuchs)?

Thoughts: Mesa Lonestar Classic, idk what else.

    Any ideas would help.

BOUGHT A FUCHS MODDED MUSIC MAN. THANKS EVERYONE!

Peavey Classic 50. Don't be put off by the Peavey name tag, this is one seriously good amp. It comes in way under your budget used, and meets all your requirements. Well worth trying.

Im looking into the american dream, Fuchs modded amps, and a few other things. Gotta get rid of the Mesa Stiletto first.

The Lonestar Classic was going to be my suggestion. I have a 1x12 combo that sounds great at both bedroom and gig volumes. Takes pedals extremely well, has a fantastic spring reverb and a series effects loop. I paid $899 for mine used.

Used Mesa express 5 50 non plus or +. I have the 5 50 non plus. Great tones anywhere from clean to mean, built like a tank and can be found for well under $1000.

Lonestar classic or special (which I've never had an issue gigging at 35 watts)

The classic will let you allow the preamp to do the lifting, the special might engage the power amp more and give a slightly different character and save a bit on weight. Warm is what they do.

I don't own one, but a Redplate sounds like exactly what you're describing. Obviously it is out of your price range, but I'm sure you could find one in the $1,800.00 used price range if you save up.

Yeah, I think the Redplate would do it, but much more than your budget, AND I never see many on the used market....guess people buy them and hang on to them.

I ended up buying a Fuchs modded Music Man. It nailed everything i was looking for and it had the tube buffered loop. Should come in tomorrow.
