help me get thump with my BH15 HD

I used to have a JCM900 2x12 combo and that thing had thump, even at low volumes. I miss it. I have a BH15 HD combo and I like the amp but the bottom end is so floppy. Im trying to get more thump. As far as I know my options to change the sound are:

new speaker - celestion G12Hs were what I had in mind

get a 1x12 cab (the marshall had 2x12s so maybe if I add another speaker itd thump more if I had 2 12s?)

mercury magnetics transformers- supposedly these alter the sound drastically but I dont know how.

anyone have expierience with altering sound this way? or am I SOL and need a new marshall?

I had the BH5 and never got rid of the flub. Good sounding amp except for the flub. No thump but plenty of flub.

FLUB IS NO GOOD

It seems to have more thump without being attenuated but then it also sounds tinnier and raspier at the same time

want thump

Maybe an EQ pedal? the Bass EQ seems to be useless on the BH

the catalinbread DLS made the amp noticably more thumpy and punchy and maybe a pedal can do the trick a little bit more?

The only thump I ever got out of mine was using a pedal with a cab emulator. Then at high volume it went to crap. I wrote it off due to being a 5 watt amp. Hope you find your answers.
