I've got a strat that I'm trying to identify - the make/model, and the current going price in particular. About all I've been able to figure out is that it was made in 1996 and it was made in the USA. The serial number is N527677. Can anyone of you tell me any more? Pictures are below, and I can take more if needed.

A '96 should have had the oval shaped gold 50th Anniversary sticker on the back of the headstock. They put that thing on everything that went out the door that year. Maybe someone took it off?

I say it's an American Standard. I had an Oly white Am. Std. with the painted headstock from '96. Nice guitar.

    Enjoy

    Could it be this?

    1995 Fender Stratocaster Matching Headstock

    Here's another collectible Stratocaster!
In 1995 Fender did a special Limited Production run of Stratocasters with some of the vintage colours featuring matching painted headstocks.
The colours from the '60s Burgundy Mist, Olympic White, Ocean Turquoise, Daphne Blue, Surf Green and Candy Apple Red were used. These guitars were limited to just a small number - two months for each colour - and thus are now starting to become collectible.

Good to know. Anyone know what the market value would be for one of these in good condition?

Edit: Good condition meaning that there are several small dings that go through the finish, one that doesn't right next to the input jack. The headstock has also been beat up a bit, and the pictures actually show that. The back also has some visible belt scratches. Nothing serious, but it has some wear and tear.

They go from 600 to 1100 ish.
I would think 800 to 1k for a CAR in excellent condition like yers.

Oh, this is just great news! I bought mine in January of '96 so it was probably a late '95. I guess I should have kept it? :jo
