    Hey all,

Assembling a small pedalboard for gigs in the rock/pop world. I'd like some help deciding what to snag to use with my incoming Egnater Tweaker which I expect to run with a bit of break up happening. I'm playing single coils. I need:

(1)boost/OD for low/medium gain and solos
(2)Something for a big rock tone
    (3)dotted 8th delay
(4)dark repeats delay preferably with modulation as an option

    Here's what I've been considering:

    (1) Timmy or Klone or TS
    (2) Maybe KOT high gain will cover all I need...I had low gain (normal gain I guess) once and I needed more from the Distortion...
    (3) TC Flashback?
    (4) Carbon Copy...or maybe get a Analogman ARDX20 and add a amaze0 later?

I am sure someone will say DD20 for delay...I never cared for it. Nova is an option but I don't think I want something that clean.

Anyhow, I'd love to hear some opinions...maybe especially from Tweaker owners.

Mount it on a Nano, power it up with the up-coming re-volt and you're good to go.

I'd suggest a barber ltd for low gain, a barber ddss or way huge green rhino for med gain, and a memory lane jr or tap-a-delay for your delay needs.

Both barbers sound great with the Tweaker as well as the tap a delay even in front of it set at break-up

Skreddy Lunar Module (high) - Fairfield Effects Manifold (low) - Analogman ARDX20. Honorable mentions: KOT if you got the dough or can handle the wait, Blackout Effectors Mantra (for a low-gain OD), Skreddy Screwdriver (for everything from low to high gain); also a good Germanium fuzz like a Sun Face can do high and low gain. A Fuzz Face and a good boost (like a Caroline Icarus) can cover a lot of ground.

It's kinda silly to suggest the two most popular OD's and highest profile delay. Personally, I've never played a Timmy or a Klon, and although I will eventually, you never know what you'll like. Members here are commonly reporting dissappointment in the top pedals. You might not like a Fulldrive2 but fall in love with the Clark Gainster. I was looking for a modded Turbo OD when I came across a used Dunlop Wylde Overdrive. I keep it and still use it, even with more exclusive stuff in my tackle box. Use your ears to hunt, not rumours. I do however recommend a decent Tube Screamer and Analogmike offers a beauty! For two delays, I say two Flashbacks. This way, you could leave one set to reverse, the other; 2290!

It's funny how people suggest a $450 delay (with a 10 week wait time, no less) for a small gigging board! I'm sure the Timeline sounds great, but the TC Flashback or a BOSS DD3 would probably do the job just fine.

For a lower-gain OD, I would suggest the WH Green Rhino, or maybe an OCD. For higher-gain stuff, maybe a Wampler Plextortion.

For a relatively inexpensive pedal that can take the place of two pedals I recently bought a Yellow Drive by T-Rex and it is a dual overdrive / distortion pedal that has been sounding pretty good live to me. It can do low gain well as well as higher gain and can get pretty gnarly if you want it to. Tried it out on a whim and I'm liking it.

This is sound advice. I've picked up I can't tell you how many pedals that were recommended on here that just didn't work for me though I've learned about pedals here that I would have never known about otherwiseÂ…

I use an Egnater Tweaker as well, on "clean" mode and have the gain set from 1:00 to 2:00, just a hint of break-up. I use an OCD for my lower gain needs and an MXR M77 MOdified OD for my higher gain stuff. These are both followed by an Xotic EP Booster which is always on. This gives me a nice all-around punch and roll the guitar volume off for rhythyms and up for leads. Also have an MXR Carbon Copy for slapback delay. Works great for me. By the way, I use a Gibson LP Standard so YMMV.
