    I have some great gear,

    2011 Gibson R6 (great weight at 8.4)
2013 Gibson ES 335 Dot figured (amazingly light weight 7.8, and resonant example)
2012 Gretsch 6120 Nashville (unique figured top, sound post and light weight with great soft V neck)
2008 Gretsch 6118 LTV (trestle braced with killer neck)
2014 Martin 00018 (newly reworked model with scalloped braces)
2011 Martin 00015M (first year that still had the rosewood bridge and fret-board)
    Rivera pubster
Torres champ (ptp hand built by Torres)

    So that's what I have

Now I have become fixated on an Historic LP

an RO plain top darkburst I think its a GC exclusive, not a GO but serial number is R0

its beautiful and plays/sounds amazing, light (8.4) with an amazing top

BUT to get it I need to sell/trade stuff

I just love my gear too much to let anything go.

I know its just stupid GAS but damn, I have become semi obsessed!

    I NEED to settle down.

    Play the guitars you have.
    Stop seeing what's for sale.

Works for me. The more I play, the less I shop.

Disney's Elsa has advice for you.
    Let it go.

Considering the nice selection you already have in your humblebrag post, I doubt you will wake up in a cold sweat 6 months from now wishing you had bought another Gibson from Guitar Center.

Oh c'mon guys! It's very un-TGP to tell someone not to buy.

I have found that a temporary cure* for GAS is to play with more accomplished guitarists. It's inspiring and humbling and has me checking the Playing/Technique forum more than the Emporium.

    *lasts 2-3 months, tops :)

Just go back to the shop and buy your Beano guitar on credit. I've got 17 guitars and don't regret buying any of them. If I hadn't spent the money on gear it would have gone on booze and dope anyway.

I see you're in NJ. Maybe take a quick-glance at your tax bill. That should be enough to slow you down. :)
