help me to get a tone

alright the song is this. Any idea about the gear in the guitar solo starts around 1.45? I can definitely hear a strat but thats all I can identify.

chances are it's a marshall amp. the cut on the strings i hear sounds a bit like rossington with skynyrd--i know he's not playing here though. similiar harmonics. he used the mace amp when recording later on, & it was his live amp up until recently. but recording, from what i know he used a marshall back in the 70's. if you listen to heart from the same time period, the tones are sort of close. same with lifeson with rush. i agree with the strat--the other is a humbucker--lp or 335 or something. kansas always had great tones

I'm getting more of a hollow guitar with P90s or maybe filtertrons vibe through a tweed. The other guitar sound very LP through a Marshall to me.
