My guess is that the 30w figure is a power consumption figure and the RMS wattage is < 10 watts.A 6AC7 is not the same as an EL34- 6CA7 is the USA nomenclature for a EL34 substitute. Those 60s Japanese amps often use tubes that were somewhat common at the time but unusual by today's standards.

That amp could be kind of cool but probably not all that great. Can you post what the tubes are for the real experts to evaluate? Not being in Australia,to me $200 doesn't seem quite as much of a deal especially since my amp purchases over the past few years were a Univox 1226 head($70)and a Roland Bolt 60 combo($120).

6CA7 are the same thing. The 6CA7 is the U.S. name for the EL34. Many NOS tubes are labeled 6CA7/EL34.

    $250Aus is about $180US.

For comparison, a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier goes for $4600 here in Australia.

    $250 is pretty damn cheap.

There are quite a number of those two tube or 3 tube solutions for amps. The "other" tube is a 12AX4 rectifier and available about $1 from http://store.triodestore.com/ottub12a6thr.html for example. The 6AC7 is a power tube, although I can't really give you any more info right now-the net's showing $5 for them, so it'll be easy to tube the amp. Power output (single ended, class A) will be about 5w, with a "Champ" like sound.

The biggest problem with many of the inexpensive 3 tube amps is that they may not have a proper power transformer (check if there're one or two transformers in there). If not, there's a shock hazard as the high voltage is not truly isolated from the chassis, IIRC.
