About a month ago, a Fender Dual Showman Reverb with Bandmaster 2x12 tall cab came into the shop I work at on consignment. I got it for a ridiculously good price, and have been enjoying it ever since.

Everything is fine and dandy about it, except the cabs baffle was cut for a 15 on the bottom, with the original 12 on top. I want to restore it back to its original 2x12 glory and put some new speakers in it.

    So my two questions are:

How difficult is it to replace the baffle?

Where can I purchase a baffle that will fit well, and come with the Fender grill cloth already on it? I'm obviously not going to order from ampwares, and I can't find any other places online that sell just the baffle. I was thinking about e-mailing either this place: http://www.amprestoration.com/pricing.htm or this place: http://www.fuscocabinets.com/pricelist.htm to ask if I could get just the baffle.

And lastly, what speakers do you guys think I should put in it? I've been checking out this thread: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2004242 for some suggestions, but I'd just like to see what you guys have to say.

    Thanks!

Weber will sell you a baffle, or contact Crusty. Probably your two most reasonable options. Easy to remove/replace, just unscrews from the inside.

does anyone use the fiberglas (or any other material) for damping in their Fender cabs?
