    Hey all,

I'm planning an amp build around the idea of a 100w Tweed Bassman/Dumble Slidewinder built with a quad of KT-77's.

I have the whole "5881/6L6/6550/KT88 sound" covered with the rest of my rig (Bludotone HPD and stereo Twins), and wanted somehing in the "6CA7/EL34/KT77" family for the "Marshall" slot in my rig, hence the KT-77's. I've been through the threads here but haven't heard any sounds/videos of KT-77's in action. Any videos, clips or comments would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks again!

My experience is: amp circuitry is more important than power tubes.
But in a couple of my EL34 amps here are the slight differences-
EL34's have gnarly mids, E34Ls are louder and not quite as gnarly.
6CA7s have almost 6L6 clarity and headroom, better highs and lows than 34s
KT 77s are in between - I love 'em.
