I've always been a "straight to amp" but I tried this fulltone pedal using a friends pedalboard and I really enjoy it so I bought one the problem is that I loose some of the natural tone of my amp that i get without the pedal even when its off. Do you guys reckon' that the cables are the reason of that? i have a evidence LHG from the guitar to the pedal and then from the pedal to the front of the amp a cheap proel bulk.

The FD2M is a pretty transparent pedal in CC and FM modes. Vintage introduces a mid-bump ala Tubescreamer.

How long a cable do you normally run when you plug straight into an amp? What is the total cable length when you use the FD2M? Are you using any other pedals? Have you tried different cables?
