Help with vintage Fender/Gibson case Identification

I got a load of guitar cases on trade and I'm having a little trouble making a positive ID as to what guitars fit them. The Fender case looks just like a Strat/Tele case but has the imprint from a bass in the velour. It's exterior dimensions are 40" x 13 3/4". Is this a standard Strat case or?

The Gibson case is from the late 70's/80's and I have no idea what it fits. Exterior dimensions are 43 3/4 x 16 1/4".

Anyone out there familiar with these? Thanks in advance for your help.

Ethan

The Fender case looks like a standard Strat/Tele case - it would have been used for both models.

The Gibson case - I'm not sure. Would that be large enough for an Explorer?

John, the Gibson case is smaller than an explorer for sure. I'm thinking it goes to one of the weird 70's models, like a Sonex or something.

Sam, would you mind measuring the outside of your Strat case to see if mine matches?
