    Yeah, i've had a pair of chucks for three years now, and they always looked a bit stupid on me... Guess i'll stick with my checkered Van's.

    Actually, those aren't as bad as I was expecting.

    I thought they would be all tie-dyed with pics of Jimi all over em.

    Those are probably the best they could've come up with.

    Color me disgusted. Not that they're a bad looking shoe, but the crass exploitation...ugh! And what's this about a Hendrix energy drink? Never heard of such a thing, but that's just awful.:facepalm

    Yeah lighten up indeed...not my style but they look great for a Converse. If I saw these on the shelf my first thought would not be Jimi.

    How is this any different from you or I getting a gig playing Hendrix covers? It's all taking advantage of his continued popularity for personal gain. You can only argue that the estate's intent is different, which is not only a subjective judgment but also unknowable.
