It's that time of year again. I'm preparing my guitars for winter in New England.
I've used the Planet Wave's Humidipaks and like them but they dry out after about 3 weeks and tend to get expensive.
Last year I used the Oasis Humidifying Tubes, I fill them and lay them in my guitar cases. They work but need filling every week. I put 2-3 in each case with a calibrated hygrometer.
I used to try using standard room humidifiers but the moisture going into the air tended to corrode my steel body resonators and left my guitar strings feeling rusty.
I just ordered some Herco Clay Guitar Humidifier gizmos. Anyone ever try them?
