The Effecturator 2000 is a free Windows utility that lets you make global changes to your G3v2/G3X and G5 patch groups in five easy steps.
1. Export a patch group out of Edit&Share.
2. Load the exported file into the Effecturator 2000.
3. Specify and process changes.
4. Save the processed file with a new name.
5. Import the new file into Edit&Share.

Dig it.
Question.
Does this only affect patches?
For instance, if I want all cabs off and process it so, if I change a patch to a different amp will the cab still be off or does it revert to a default?
Also I have all my amps setup with exp pedal set to amp level, but when changing they seem to default to gain level.
Any way to change the default settings?

Thanks

Not that I'm aware of. The patchgroup files only contain the active models in any patch. So if you have one patch and take the time to change to every amp and tweak them just so, thinking that all your work will be saved for later, when you move to another patch and then come back all your tweaking is gone except for the amp that is in the patch.

I'd love to be able to modify the internal code/memory so that my preferences for an amp, drive, anything could be stored/saved as the default for the pedal from then on. I emailed Zoom and they said thanks and we'll pass this on to our developers. Oh, well.

So, the Effecturator 2000 can only do magic on in-use models per patch. If you select a different model later that model's default settings will be used.
