    Are the hfe-ranges even suited for a fuzz face? I'd think at least one of them should be in the 100-120 range.

    Same stuff I bought from a well known EBay UK seller a long time ago’ some had faint AC128 and 2SBxxx prints lols

    Not even close? Not even the same can style/size? Not even similar markings, characteristics, features? It seems a lot closer than you're admitting (even if they are fakes).

    Ok I'm stupid. Back when I used to build fuzz faces I always picked around 110 for Q2, but never had any experience with NKT275s, so...

    Noob question but what does the red dot on these transistors mean? That they have been inspected by the manufacturer or checked for leakage after the fact?
