Where is the best place to get a Heritage?
I have only played a lobo combo and it was awesome. Try Jay Wolfe, www.wolfeguitars.com.
Im getting a Briton II at Washington Music Center at some point.
The amp "division" is run separately from the guitar "division". Amps are made right here in Nashville by some VERY talented folks.
You gotta hear one. My vintage Marshall quest ended once-and-for-all with a Colonial 50w head & cab. I couldn't imagine ever wanting anything else for "that thing"
I was quite impressed with Hawkeyeinexile's Colonial head. Nicely done, and some great tones.
The dealer in San Jose, CA sells them pretty cheap. They are is the dealer section on the website.
Gary Roque has a Colonial for sale in the Emporium.
hey, mike, sounds even better now that it has some hours on it...
the San Jose dealer is C.B. Perkins (Luthiers since 1923). last i checked (last Friday) they had a Patriot and a Briton II w/2x12 Blues matching cab. fine people. bought all three of mine there (Brit, Colonial, Victory head - wish i still had that Brit II, but then i'd be spendin' all my time trying to decide...)
There's a pretty good selection at Tone Merchants (www.tonemerchants.com)... Ask for Noel... They have a Briton combo, a Briton II head, a Colonial, and I believe a Liberty combo and a Victory combo...
Great stuff made by Paul Cochrane of Tim/Timmy pedal fame...
The Briton combo is a personal fave of mine....
Buffalo Bros, if yor're local to them, they don't ship amps.
Scratch this, I just saw that you're Motown, my bad!!
BTW, Dave, I've been impressed with CB Perkins' prices, attitude, and help over the phone.
I was there a week ago or so and played a few...that colonial does sound very nice...the Briton too.....
Yes, I wrote before that we need a dealer in the North East or rather around New York City somewhere.
Frankly with such a range of amps I'd need to sit down with some for a couple of hours......
hey, Pete, did you ever call that NJ dealer i told you about? or maybe that was too far south...
I wish there was an easy way to let folks know that these amps are their own company and not a part of Heritage guitars.
I have not seen these myself but right off the bat ... from their website, things look pretty nice. Plus ... anything made in Brentwood TN has to be pretty nice ... I have about four songwriter friends there who are pretty spectacular
If there is somebody in L.A. that has one of these amps and would like to bring it over so I can look at it I will be happy to run some spec tests on it and give you a few free tubes for the front end to experiment with.
Try Fat Cat Guitars. They are in the Northwest Chicago suburb of Carpentersville. Great people, although I don't know if they ship amps/sell online etc.
Ask for Scott
How cool of you...now if I could sang a $39 airfare from DFW I'd be in for a visit.
Anytime ... just give me a few days notice.
I couldn't even find the town, jeff.
Actually I think it was nearer Philly.........
it's near Atlantic City, but i think he said something about re-opening in Summit (?) and that's not far. ring 'im up (609-748-4150), sounded like a nice fella
