Please get the headstock rips out early if possible...LOL!!!

I had the pleasure of taking an all access private tour of 225 Parsons Street. My best bud on earth recently became Operations Manager. There are some major changes happening there. I can't say all that's going down but believe me you'll be hearing and seeing a lot of cool things. He even let us in the room where they keep all the original Gibson parts and old wood. That was an absolute trip. Here are some photos of the tour...

about 10 years ago I didnt know who they were and neither did the sales dude at GC.. I saw an H335 they had for $300.
I passéd on it thinking it was some no name copy even though it played awesome.

(this was before i had a smart phone so I was not able to google anything.)

when i got home and researched it i was like holy crap and so i ran back at 11am the next day and she was gonzo.

    Cool!
    I can tell you this...
They're bringing in some new setup guys this week.
Build quality will be upgraded and way more consistent without losing their mojo.

They really do have all the old Gibson stuff (the lap steel jigs, the A-series mandolin jigs and the drying racks just for starters) and that sunburst "335" (H535?) looks awesome, especially the inlays. OTOH, I have to agree with @RhytmEarl; those headstocks are just plain ugly. ;)

That's great news. That's the one change that would have been at the top of my list. My custom build from them became absolutely magical once it had a great set up.

Someone should finish those lap steels. :)

    Those really would be "NOS".

yeah about as ugly as one of Heff's left overs but yet we'd all take it in a heartbeat.

so long as the headstock says The Heritage and not El Heritage im good with whatever they do

id bet all those asbestos wrapped pipes add to the tone factor.

I have had a couple Heritage semis. Played every bit as good or better as any Gibson Memphis or Nashville ES 335.

I don't mind the headstock. The pickguards are ugly.

I could learn to live with the headstock, even if Gibson's look better. It's a shame that ones with strings that do not pull straight mess with tuning stability so badly.

It's where they set the two top glued halves. It's original to the factory.

It'd be cool if they made an effort to make them more widely available. I think they'd sell more if they could actually be played in shops.

    Wish I could divulge more.
You'll be seeing and hearing about them more in the near future.
There's a lot of big ideas floating around there.
I can tell you it's all going to be really cool.
Just the renovations alone would get you smiling.
