I've got a Heritage Les Paul type (H150?), and I really dislike the bridge and tailpiece. I'm constantly breaking strings, have tuning issues, palm muting feels sort of unnatural, and the ball ends of broken strings get stuck underneath the anchors. What replacement setup is recommended for this guitar? This may seem a stupid question but there's so many replacements out there its easy to get confused. It would have to be in nickel to match my pups and tuners. thanks

I'm having Gibson Historic bridge hardware installed on mine. It's at the shop right now.

Hey Plexi... first off, I am a SINCERE and AVID Heritage player...

    I have a H157, H150 goldtop, and an H535...

AND I TOO HATE THOSE ROLLER BRIDGES AND THOSE TAILPIECES they come stock with...

You can order good replacements from stewmac, etc...

Just be sure you order the tune-o-matic with the Nashville posts (studs).

Feel free to PM me with any questions you may have...

Ditto on the AVID Heritage player here and on the Stew Mac replacements.
The good news is that Heritages now come with better hardware. Generally they come with TOM type bridges. I ordered my Prospect last year with Tone Pros hardware.

I replaced the bridge and tailpiece on my 157 w/ TonePros. I dig the locking screws on the tailpiece.

I didn't order my TonePros from StewMac... they only carry locking studs I believe...

WD Music carries packages with the bridge and tailpiece.

    Try this tailpiece...

If it doesn't have to be TonePros... just order this and this...

not the metric ones (those are for Epihpones, and Asian LP's...)

YesI was confused because I didn't see the TonePros tailpiece at Stew Mac and thought maybe only the studs were necessary for this feature. Thanks!
