Hi, I was wondering if anybody could comment on the Hermida 1x12 ported cab.

I'm a jazz guy (ES-335 or Tele with a neck humbucker) and am looking for a big, fat, clean sound with plenty of headroom - but not super bright either. I really dig my 65 Twin Reissue, but I wouldn't mind something with a bit more low end.

I used to have a Mesa Thiele cab loaded with an EVM12L and liked it - although I thought it was a little dark sounding, and heavy (no big surprise).

The Hermida design looks pretty similar to the Mesa Thiele.

Any comments?

Thanks!

it's a great cab! lots of low end yet it still retains the highs. it's light, and i liked it with a cele 1265. some guys don't feel it was the best match, but Alf Hermida said it was good to go. it ripped with an EV12L. but you're not looking for rip, are you?

Alf's cab is a great cab for a very resonable price. Sounded great this weekend using a D-style bluesmater head. Ev12L in the cab at the time. (not mine)
