I'm looking for some feedback on the Hermida Audio ported 212 cab. I tried a site and Google search, but direct info on the cab is pretty sparse. How is the build quality, do you guys have any speaker recommendations for it, and how does it compare to some common cabs(i.e. Genz Benz G-Flex)?

Thanks

The cabinet kills man...speakers depends on taste.

They are excellent. Very small, but sound large.
I recently nabbed a G-Flex, and I do like it a little more, given a speaker change. The G-Flex is much larger & heavier, but sounds a bit "bigger".

Ideally I'd be looking at either G12T 75s or a V30 variant. Anyone with experience with those types of speakers in a Hermida Audio 212?

How would you guys compare it to normal, unported 212s?

I own 2 of these. But because they are Theile cabs, not all speakers will sound good in the cab. It was designed primarily to accommodate EV12L's. I have used other speakers in it, but some sounded terrible in it. I don't think the V30's or 75's will sound good in that cab, but the Lead 80's will. Other speakers that have sounded good are: ASW KTS70's, Scumback H75's and XH75's (M75's sounded horrible in that cab), Eminence Delta, Commonwealth, Tonker and Tonespotter, RWB's, Swampthing. Jensen Blackbird, Sholz Sugarcone. The Genz Benz Reflex cab will work better with the speakers you noted.

I have a 2x12 ported with EV 200 watters. It is ferocious, and my favotite 2x12. The only downside is it is small, and my larger wattage heads will not fit on it. The 1x12 is exceptional as well.

What did you pop into your G-Flex?
