It's a pleasure to be a new member of 'The Gear Page' - I've read so many great blogs on & off through the years, & finally decided it was time I jumped all the way in.
So many great players & subjects - I'm confident I'll continue to be enlightened by fellow members in any number of ways, & I'm looking forward to contribute & help out whenever I can as well..

Mark, as a NY/NJ child, I remember your name well! Rat Race Choir amongst other projects. Your presence here is very welcome!

Great to have you here Mark!
This place needs more players like yourself that can speak from real world experience.
    Looking forward to your contributions

Thanx for the kind words, PaulE.!
    Many shows & many stages...
    & MANY stories (LOL!).
Some of the coolest onstage ones are some of the things we had to do to make the gig come off in a pinch - everything from soldering Hiwatts with matches to making a whole guitar strap out of duct tape.!.. On the road, necessity is definitely the mother of invention - & in most every potentially futile situation, someone's ingenuity got us through.

Thanx, Neer.! Many people still remember that band, probably because not only did we perform a concert format in a club, but no one else had ever taken that kind (& that much.!) high end equipment into clubs before that -
where could you go to a venue in the metropolitan area in the '70's & hear a wild array of rock music through a quadrophonic PA.? That was truly a great time for live music.

Thanks.! Mike's a great guy, & following my lead early on, he was one of the few brave enough to plug his semi-hollow Gibson ES-355 into an English stack -
He & I now get together on Skype a couple of times a month for guitar lessons, & it's working out great.!

Good to be here, Frank - haven't seen Doug in a while, but I spoke with Gene just yesterday.. he designed & built my website, & really did a fine job... and he's a hell of a guitar player to boot.!
